The Pioneer XDJ-Aero gets a white paint job, but operationally is identical to its earlier release.

The Pioneer XDJ-Aero DJ controller has been launched – as is Pioneer’s way with its gear – in a white edition, just in time for the NAMM Show 2013.

Everything else remains identical about the unit, which is the first consumer DJ controller designed for use with the company’s rekordbox music library software. As well as music on USB, the controller can also work with music stored on a whole range of rekordbox-enabled devices, such as smartphones and iOS/Android devices.

Free rekordbox apps are available for these devices on their respective app stores, and the XDJ-Aero them communicates with the devices wirelessly.

Have you bought an XDJ-Aero? How do you find it? Do you think wireless DJing is a good idea, or a non-starter? And what are your views on rekordbox? Please share your thoughts below.
